the NBR initiated recently. Taxpayers are sending their queries through emails
and an expert panel of both old and new VAT systems are responding to these
queries. Many taxpayers expect written solutions of their problems for future
reference and also for their comfort. So, this email service is gaining much
popularity within very short time.

• VAT eLearning System: NBR eLearning system is the first of its type in any
tax administration. The website www.nbrelearning.gov.bd is developed to
facilitate taxpayers to
learn VAT Online, sit for
test and receive online
certificate. This is also
becoming popular to the
VAT practicing community, especially who deals with the VAT issues of a
taxpayer.

• They are providing all sorts of necessary training to stakeholders and VAT
officials.

• They work as a coordination centre among the National Board of Revenue, all
its field offices and other stakeholders regarding the implementation of new
VAT rules and laws.
• They are running the awareness campaign and training sessions for successful
implementation of the new law
